Statistics: Russia’s inflation at 0.1% in July 2–Monday
MOSCOW, Jul 10 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation slowed down to 0.1% from July 2 through Monday after 0.2% a week ago and reached 2.7% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
In the reported week, prices for millet rose 0.6%, for sterilized milk by 0.4%, for frozen fish and rice by 0.3%, and for beef, poultry, butter, milk, sour cream, curd, and tea by 0.2%.
Prices for sugar decreased by 1.5%, for chicken eggs by 0.5%, and for sausages, sunflower oil, and buckwheat by 0.2%.
Fruit and vegetable prices fell 0.4% on average. Cabbage prices decreased 9.2%, cucumber prices fell 4%, onion prices shrank by 1.8%, and prices for tomatoes and potatoes by 1.4%. But apple prices rose 1.8%.
Gasoline prices and diesel fuel prices remained almost flat.
